Kaweesi is passionate about sports. He champions Physical Fitness and Wellness on various platforms in Uganda.

He has a BA Degree in Mass Communication and has considerable experience in sports journalism.

Kaweesi is the Head of Sports at Uganda’s leading media house Vision Group. He is Head of Media of the Association of Uganda University Sports and is the Head of the Media Commission at the Uganda Olympic Committee.

Kaweesi has covered major international sports events. Besides covering four editions of the Africa Nations Cup (2008, 2010, 2013 and 2017), he has covered the FIFA Confederations Cup (2013, South Africa) and three World Cup tournaments (2010; South Africa, 2014; Brazil, 2018; Russia).

Kaweesi has also covered three Formula One Grand Prix events (2016, 2017 and 2018).
